A mysterious glowing blue spiral appeared in the skies over Europe after a SpaceX rocket launch from Florida on Monday afternoon.

The rocket launched during the day in Florida, but by the time it reached Europe, it was dark. According to the UK National Meteorological Service, the spiral was likely caused by the rocket’s exhaust interacting with the atmosphere.
