A survivor emerged alive from rubble almost four days after a devastating earthquake in Myanmar. The Myanmar fire and rescue service said the survivor was a 63-year-old woman.

Myanmar’s military ruler, Min Aung Hlaing, in a televised address, said the death toll from March 28’s 7.7-magnitude quake was expected to surpass 3,000, having reached 2,719 on April 1, with 4,521 people injured and 441 missing.
