People gather on London’s Trafalgar square to celebrate the fall of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, chanting slogans and waving the Syrian flag. Assad’s whereabouts are not immediately clear, but his key backer Russia said he had resigned from the presidency and left Syria.
