Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa vows that security responsibility in Sweida will be returned to "local factions and religious elders" after deadly sectarian violence in the southern province. Hundreds have been reportedly killed in clashes between the country’s Druze minority and Sunni Bedouin tribes, prompting the deployment of government troops and subsequent Israeli intervention.
