Syria’s interim president says those behind violence against the Druze minority will be held accountable. President Ahmed al-Sharaa also accused Israel of attempting to drag Syria into a war. He was speaking after Israel carried out airstrikes on the Syrian capital Damascus, saying it was intervening to protect the Druze in the southern Syrian province of Sweida.
