Shortbread Cookies Recipe:
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Confectioners Sugar
1 1/4 Cup Butter
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tbs Almond Milk
Heat oven to 320 degrees. Sift flour, sugar and salt and the whisk. Add cubed butter admix in a stand mixer. Add vanilla, salt and milk. Combine until treasure resembles wet sand. Add more milk if mixture is too dry and does not easily form a ball. Chill
Once legs have been molded, bake for around 6 minutes, but start checking at the 4 minute mark as ovens vary. The larger body pieces will need to bake 12 minutes ormolu until boring on the tips occur.
Royal Icing Recipe:
6 Tbs Chilled Aquafaba (Reduced Chickpea Brine)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/8 Tsp Cream of Tartar
1/8 Tsp Almond Flavoring
1 Tsp Vanilla
4 Cups Confectioners Sugar
Whisk chilled aquafaba in a stand mixer until frothy. Add salt, cream of tartar, almond favor and vanilla. Mix and the add 4 cups of confectioners sugar, adding one cup at a time and mixing before adding the next. Once soft peaks are visible, transfer to an airtight container and chill until ready to use.
