"A temporary reprieve for a Vancouver Island family — their terminally-ill daughter will continue to have access to life-changing medication for two more months.
Nine-year-old Charleigh Pollock has a neurological disorder called Batten disease, which causes recurring severe seizures and mobility loss, and will eventually shorten her young life.
As Kylie Stanton reports, the girl is the only person in the province with this rare disease, and the medication is expensive, so the family continues to fight the province for funding.
