China’s military released aerial footage on Thursday showing the extent of damage to buildings in Shigatse, Tibet in the aftermath of a deadly magnitude 6.8 earthquake.

The video, captured from helicopter, showed buildings damaged and some reduced to rubble.

Chinese officials on Wednesday ended the search for survivors, saying the focus was shifting to relocating the displaced and treating the injured after pulling 407 people from the rubble.

Footage broadcasted on state television CCTV showed tents erected by soldiers and aid workers in settlements surrounding the epicentre of the quake.
