TikTok, one of the world’s most popular social media apps, got a lifeline Saturday.
The popular social media app was supposed to be shut down in the U.S. on Sunday, but Trump says he’ll “most likely” give the app a 90-day buffer after his inauguration.
The uncertainty over the app’s future may have ripple effects in Canada, though Ottawa says what happens in the U.S. won’t impact its own moves to curtail TikTok’s business.
