Tokyo’s governor is introducing a four-day work week in the hopes it will inspire working couples to have more children.

Japan is experiencing record-low births, and it’s expected that shortening the work week will allow for a better work-life balance, giving workers more time to spend with their families.

But the change comes as some countries are moving in the opposite direction.
