Speaking in the Oval Office Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters that an interview between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Jeffrey Epstein-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell “sounds appropriate." amid mounting pressures for documents allegedly containing the names of Epstein‘s high-profile clients to be released.

The U.S. president, however, diverted from the Epstein question towards a criminal referral by Tulsi Gabbard to the Department of Justice.

"Whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people," Trump said. "It’s Obama, his orders are on the paper. The papers are signed, the papers came right out of their office. They sent everything to be highly classified. Well, the highly classified has been released. And what they did in 2016 and 2020 is criminal. It’s criminal at the highest level," Trump added.

"The leader of the gang was president Obama," Trump said adding "This was treason."
