US President Donald Trump has authorised a 90-day pause on the implementation of some new tariffs and also raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%.

Trump said he was raising tariffs on China “effectively immediately”.

In his post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said: "At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realise that the days of ripping off the USA, and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable.”
