President Trump on July 31 described the situation in Gaza, where a global hunger monitor has warned famine is unfolding, as "terrible.”

Speaking to reporters, Trump said the United States recently contributed 60 million dollars for food aid and blamed Hamas of diverting money and food resources.

COGAT, the Israeli military aid coordination agency, said Israel does not restrict aid trucks entering Gaza, but that international organizations face challenges collecting aid inside Gaza.
