California Gov. Gavin Newsom said the state will sue the Trump administration over the deployment of National Guard troops in Los Angeles, which he and LA Mayor Karen Bass have called inflammatory. Trump’s border czar Tom Homan tried to clarify today he wasn’t calling for Newsom’s arrest, saying, “there was no discussion about arresting Newsom.” But while Homan tried to walk back his earlier remarks, Trump suggested he should arrest the governor, saying, “I would do it if I were Tom.” #CNN #News
