The New York Times is reporting that President Donald Trump paused his meeting with Ukranian President Volodymr Zelenskyy and other European leaders to call Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A senior White House official told NBC News that Trump "took President Putin’s phone call in the Oval Office. President Zelensky and the European leaders joined President Trump in the Oval Office after the call concluded.” The Kremlin confirmed the call, adding that Trump and Putin spoke for around 40 minutes.
