U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth are scheduled to deliver joint remarks from the Oval Office Friday.

The White House has not detailed the subject matter of the press conference, however, it comes at the same time Elon Musk — business mogul and head of the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency — is set to receive a briefing at the Pentagon from the Department of Defense regarding threats posed by China to the U.S.

Under the command of Hegseth, the Pentagon is expected to become more involved at the U.S.-Mexico border as both countries, along with Canada, crack down on security and drug trafficking amid the unfolding trade war.

Trump is also expected to take questions after calling for the dismantling of the U.S. Education Department on Thursday.
