The Trump administration deported hundreds of Venezuelans the White House says are violent criminals, despite a court order forbidding it from doing so, saying in an extraordinary statement that a judge did not have the authority to block its actions. It’s a move U.S. officials defended, but several legal experts said was clearly unlawful.
