U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order declaring that his government will only recognize two sexes: male and female.

The executive order also outlaws the option to identify as the ‘X’ gender on American passports, which originally became an option in 2022.

Heather Yourex-West reports on how some Canadians are now questioning how safe it is for them to travel south and how transgender rights are becoming increasingly uncertain in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
