Typhoon Co-may triggers deadly floods and destruction across the Philippines

From Global News.

Typhoon Co-may made landfall in Pangasinan on Friday, unleashing heavy monsoon rains that inundated homes, triggered landslides, and caused widespread flooding across the Philippines.

At least 25 people have been killed in rain-related incidents, with more than a week of downpours affecting areas including Manila, Pampanga, and Bulacan.

Residents like delivery rider Jomar Uy lost all belongings to waist-deep flooding, while others like Maica Mendoza adapted by selling flood gear online from submerged streets.

Officials say Co-may has weakened to a tropical storm after crossing Luzon, but rains continue to pose a threat.
