United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced about $200M CAD in additional funding to crack down on illegal migrant operations crossing the English Channel. Over 25,000 illegal migrants have crossed into the U.K. on small boats since the start of 2025. This comes after a deal was struck between Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron that would send intercepted migrants back to France.
