French President Emmanuel Macron says the United Kingdom and the European Union were stronger when Britain was a member of the bloc. "I’m very respectful for the voice of people and the choice your country made," he tells a City of London banquet. "But I have to say the European Union was stronger with you, and you were stronger with the European Union."
