From DW News.
Gaza’s civil defense agency said Israeli forces had killed at least 62 people on Friday, including 10 who were waiting for aid in the territory. This is the latest in a series of such incidents since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation — a private organization backed by the United States and Israel — began setting up aid distribution sites in Gaza a month ago. The UN and aid groups have criticized Israel’s aid distribution system in the territory, saying that it has weaponized humanitarian assistance and facilitated Israel’s alleged plans of ethnic cleansing by forcing displaced people in Gaza to seek aid far from their places of shelter. On Friday, Israeli outlet Haaretz reported that Israel’s Military Advocate General had ordered a probe into allegations of Israeli forces intentionally firing at Palestinians seeking aid near GHF sites.
