Addressing the UN Council, Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific, Khaled Khiari, strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Damascus.

The strikes, carried out on July 16, targeted key sites including part of the Syrian Ministry of Defense and areas near the presidential palace. Israel stated the operation was intended to protect the Druze minority in southern Syria.
