Israel’s army chief has met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid growing tensions over reported plans to occupy the Gaza strip in its entirety. Israeli media are reporting that the army’s top brass have presented the prime minister with several alternative plans. According to earlier reports, Netanyahu is considering occupying all of Gaza. Army leaders say that could endanger the lives of the remaining hostages. The prime minister has not commented on the reports. Speaking to army recruits on Tuesday, Netanyahu reiterated what their objectives are.
