Sarah Hewko, a dietitian and professor at the University of Prince Edward Island, says new guidelines that recommend using medication and surgery in some cases to treat childhood obesity are concerning. The new guidelines were co-developed by Obesity Canada and published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal. CBC’s Sheehan Desjardins explains further.
