From Global News.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe called on the Canadian federal government to lower or remove counter tariffs imposed by Canada after U.S. President Donald Trump announced he would increase the tariff on Canada from 25 per cent to 35 per cent.
“We need to do this because we need to have a strong North American economy. It’s so integrated that we need to find a solution to this, and we need to find it soon,” he said.
Moe said while he is disappointed by the higher tariff, he is pleased most exports from Saskatchewan won’t face duties under the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).
