Storms are lashing the East Coast from Virginia to Connecticut, flooding roadways and delaying flights from Boston to Washington, D.C.

Video posted to social media show vehicles stranded in pockets of high water and water pouring into Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal.

Commuter rail lines into suburban Long Island and New Jersey were suspended in some places Friday and flash flood warnings were in place for New York City, New Jersey and Philadelphia.

In Maryland, a 13-year-old boy was killed when he was washed into a storm drain during a heavy rainstorm.
