1. U.S. President Donald Trump told President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that the United States would help guarantee Ukraine’s security in any deal to end Russia’s war there, though the extent of any assistance was not immediately clear.
2. Hamas has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire proposal with Israel that includes the return of half the hostages held in Gaza and Israel’s release of some Palestinian prisoners, an Egyptian official source said. Senior Hamas official Basem Naim confirmed the group’s approval on Facebook. Hamas said other Palestinian factions informed mediators of their approval also.
3. Air Canada’s unionized flight attendants have reached an agreement with the country’s largest carrier, the union said. "The Strike has ended. We have a tentative agreement we will bring forward to you," the Canadian Union of Public Employees said in a Facebook post.
4. Intel is getting a $2 billion capital injection from SoftBank Group in a major vote of confidence for the troubled U.S. chipmaker that is in the middle of a turnaround effort. The equity investment, announced by the two companies on Monday, is a lifeline for the once-iconic U.S. chipmaker, which has struggled to compete after years of management blunders that left it with virtually no foothold in the booming artificial intelligence chip industry.
5. Sweden’s landmark Kiruna Church will begin a two-day trip to a new home, inching down an Arctic road to save its wooden walls from ground subsidence and the expansion of the world’s largest underground iron ore mine.
