From Global News.
When Marko Jovanovic bought a brand-new Samsung fridge from a Calgary Rona store, he didn’t expect to unbox a used appliance — from a different brand.
“Took the cardboard off and that’s when I noticed it wasn’t the same colour, it was used. My friend opened it and said oh man it’s even dirty.”
What followed was a frustrating month-long journey to get a refund, all while trying to live without a fridge in a house of seven adults.
“I had about a day of no fridge, so I had to put things in a cooler.” Jovanovic tells Global News.
Global News’ Skyler Peters digs into how these warehouse mix-ups can happen, what consumers can do to protect themselves, and how the store eventually responded.
