From Inside Edition.
Workers in Manatee County, Florida, recently dug up an object that they thought might be an old tool. But on closer inspection, they realized it was something much, much older. The thing was brought to a nearby museum, where it was identified as the claw of a giant ground sloth. Ground sloths were massive mammals that walked the Earth over ten thousand years ago. That a piece of one could survive in the inhospitable Florida soil has experts describing the find as "one in a million."
