More than 60 victims lost a total of $425,000 when Lowell Oakes of P.E.I.’s Dawson Funeral home took their money in a fraud scheme that goes as far back as the mid ’90s. He was sentenced and has now been released. Those affected say the provincial government should step in to help them get their money back.
