President Donald Trump’s big bill, which he signed into law in July, would cut roughly $186 billion from SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, over the next decade, according to Congressional Budget Office estimates. Nationwide, about 22 million households rely on this program to have enough food to eat each month. Experts told PBS News what the public should know about how much these cuts cost and what that could mean for millions of families.
