WATCH: Bondi avoids answering questions about pardoning Jan. 6 protesters on subsequent crimes

From PBS NewsHour.

Rep. Madeleine Dean, D-Pa., exchanged a tense back and forth with Attorney General Pam Bondi about ethics compliance during a House Appropriations Committee hearing Monday.

Bondi routinely refused to answer Dean’s questions about whether she registered as a foreign agent and disclosed that before she went before the Senate for her confirmation hearing. Bondi did say that her work with Qatar was discussed during the confirmation hearing. She repeated that the terms of her work for Qatar was "for anti-human trafficking for the World Cup." Dean also pushed the attorney general about her sale of stock in Trump Media before its share price dropped.

Each also accused the other of a lack of professionalism, and repeatedly talked over each other.
After Dean yielded back her time, Bondi asked the committee’s chair if she could respond to Dean.

“I would take a class in financial literacy if you think I profited from that because I lost a tremendous amount of money, Congresswoman,” Bondi said.
