Watch live: Attorneys for Kilmar Abrego Garcia speak after hearing

From USA TODAY.

Abrego Garcia, 29, was deported by "an administrative error" to El Salvador and sent to the country’s most notorious prison on March 15. He remains there as a legal standoff continues between the Trump administration, U.S. federal courts, and now the Salvadoran government.

Bukele, in a meeting with President Donald Trump, said he does not have the power to return Abrego Garcia, whom he accused of being a terrorist.

The Trump administration says Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13 gang. A U.S. district judge has disagreed, saying the administration has not provided evidence to support that accusation, according to court documents.
