Democratic Sen. Cory Booker set a historic record with a 25-hour, 5-minute speech, the longest in Senate history.
His marathon speech, which ran through the night from Monday into Tuesday, was a bold statement of Democratic resistance to President Trump’s policies.
Booker surpassed the 24-hour, 18-minute record set by Sen. Strom Thurmond in 1957, who opposed the Civil Rights Act.
