A Turkish student is the latest supporter of Palestinian causes to be detained in the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigrants who have expressed their political views.

A lawyer for Rumeysa Ozturk, 30, filed an emergency motion Thursday seeking her release. She was ambushed by masked federal police in Somerville, Massachusetts, on Tuesday.
