Weissmann on Trump admin’s ‘schizophrenic’ response to Epstein files

From MSNBC.

"You really are seeing this continuation of a schizophrenic approach. And The Wall Street Journal reporting gives you certainly a motive for why…"

MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann joins Nicolle Wallace on Deadline White House and reacts to The Journal’s new reporting, citing senior administration officials, that the Justice Department told the president in May that his name was in the Epstein files.

The Journal notes that “being mentioned in the records isn’t a sign of wrongdoing.” MSNBC has not independently confirmed the reporting.

“The fact is that the President kicked him out of his club for being a creep," White House communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement. "This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media, just like the Obama Russiagate scandal, which President Trump was right about.”
