Honda says it will continue to operate in Canada at “full capacity for the foreseeable future” after a media report claimed that the Japanese automaker was considering plans to switch some car production to the United States.

Earlier, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he had been told that the media report about Honda planning to switch some car production from Canada to the U.S. is “not accurate.”

“We’re going to keep Honda here, and I’ll do everything I can to protect the people and their jobs," he added.
