Newmont Corp. says three mine workers who were trapped in the Red Chris mine in northern B.C. were rescued on Thursday night. Newmont says it will ‘conduct a thorough and independent investigation into the factors that led to this event,’ and B.C.’s Ministry of Mines Act will also be launching its own probe.
