Americans turn out to protest against President Trump’s cuts to government programmes to help the poor, and his administration’s mass deportation raids. Protests and events have kicked off across the United States against President Donald Trump’s controversial policies. Demonstrators are opposed to his administration’s mass deportations and cuts to Medicaid and other safety nets for poor people. Protests are expected at more than 1,600 locations around the country. The "Good Trouble Lives On" national day of action honors the late Congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis.
