A new chapter in the trade dispute with the United States opened this week when Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that retaliatory tariffs on some U.S. exports included in the existing Canada-U.S. trade deal would be rescinded.

What does that mean for Canadian consumers starting Sept. 1? From orange juice to lawn mowers, toothpaste to paper towel, Canadians will see prices drop for some food and beverages, appliances, personal care items, and home and building material products.
