The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says Iran could resume enriching uranium within months after the latest Israeli and US attacks on its nuclear facilities.

Rafael Grossi’s statement contradicted President Donald Trump’s claims that last week’s bombing raids had obliterated Iran’s nuclear program. The Iranian parliament has suspended its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency following the strikes.

Rosemary Kelanic is the director of the Middle East program at Defense Priorities – a US-based think tank. Tehran says it has no plans to resume talks with the US. What options does Washington have now to prevent Iran’s nuclear advancement?
