Ukraine is celebrating its Independence Day, marking the country’s separation from the Soviet Union in 1991. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Ukrainians to remain steadfast as they fight Russia’s invasion. He praised their courage and called for a European Ukraine. This is the fourth time Ukraine has marked Independence Day since Russia’s full scale invasion.
