Sharks have the reputation of being cold-blooded killers that will attack and try to eat just about anything. But in reality, they are actually a lot pickier than many people realize – Attacks on humans are very very rare. But even the "cold-blooded" portion isn’t even true – at least not when it comes to Great Whites. Because they are in fact part of a small group of sharks that can elevate their body temperatures above the water temperature – effectively becoming warm-blooded. Here’s how they do it.
