On Thursday, the Trump administration doubled down on the lethality of US strikes in destroying Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend. During a Pentagon press briefing, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the operation a "historically successful attack" and said it caused ‘devastation’. Hegseth said he wasn’t aware of any evidence that would suggest that enriched uranium was moved out before the attacks. An initial leaked US intelligence report claimed that the strikes only set Iran’s nuclear program back by just a few months.
