President Trump’s sweeping global tariffs could have a potentially large impact on the cost of iPhones. Many iPhone components are manufactured in various Asian countries, which will soon be hit hard by sweeping US tariffs. President Trump has paused these tariffs for 90 days in all countries except China, where a lot of Apple’s supply chain is based. It’s a possibility that Apple could eventually choose to transfer some extra manufacturing costs to consumers once global tariffs are in effect. CNN’s Anna Cooban breaks down some of the components that make up an iPhone – and how tariffs will affect them.
