Tensions are high in a west end Winnipeg neighbourhood, after police opened fire on a stolen pickup truck.

The driver and passenger were attempting to flee from police when they crashed into a cruiser and then later into a house, sparking a fire that led to an explosion.

No injuries were reported, and Manitoba’s police watchdog is now investigating.
