From Global News.
In a press briefing on Thursday morning, U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth berated the media for reporting the initial assessment of the U.S. attack on Iran instead of congratulating President Donald Trump for the success of the mission.
He minimized the importance of a preliminary intelligence assessment that concluded U.S. strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities had damaged but not permanently destroyed them.
"This is preliminary (report), but leaked because someone had an agenda to try to muddy the waters. To make it look like this historic strike wasn’t successful," Hegseth said.
He added that the media does not want Trump to be successful and is hence cheering against the efficacy of these strikes.
