Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joined European leaders rallying around Volodymyr Zelenskyy ahead of the Ukrainian president’s meeting with U.S. President Donald Turmp in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

European and NATO leaders said Sunday they would join Zelenskyy at the White House, as he meets with the president following Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

It’s part of an apparent effort to ensure the meeting goes better than the one in February, when Trump berated Zelenskyy in a heated Oval Office encounter.
