Zelenskyy signs law restoring independence of Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies

From Global News.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a bill Thursday reinstating the independence of NABU and SAPO, the country’s top anti-corruption bodies.

The move followed mass protests against a prior law that placed the agencies under the prosecutor general’s control.

Critics said the earlier changes threatened transparency and EU membership goals.

The reversal aims to preserve public trust and Western support during wartime.
